Mindful Movement Therapy and Yoga
Mindful Movement therapy is ideal for any one looking to feel balanced in mind and body. Licensed therapist and yoga instructor, Sierra Carlson, LCSW-C, uses yoga, breathing exercises, meditation, guided relaxation, and talk-therapy to work through emotions stored in the body. Mindful movement can help individuals struggling with a variety of mental health imbalances, such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Identity and Self-Esteem conflicts, etc. Absolutely no experience with yoga is required.  Ms. Carlson offers a safe environment to reconnect with your body, rebuild confidence, and find your inner peace.

What We Offer

We are currently offering Dialectical Behavior Therapy groups to both adults and adolescents. The 15 week program is led by DBT trained therapists to support those who struggle to regulate their emotions and behaviors by providing skills training to create regulation and a life worth living. Clients will work to develop mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation and interpersonal effectiveness skills.

Please contact the office for times and availability.
At this time the practice is able to provide individual DBT counseling, not including 24/7 skills coaching.

More about the Skills

Mindfulness: the practice of being fully aware and present in this one moment
Distress Tolerance: how to tolerate pain in difficult situations, not change it
Emotion Regulation: how to change emotions that you want to change
Interpersonal Effectiveness: how to ask for what you want and say no while maintaining self-respect and relationships with others

 Who Can Benefit from DBT?

Those who experience intense emotions, reduced awareness, confusion about self, impulsivity, interpersonal problems, extreme thinking and are looking for a greater balance in their life.
