Dagenhart and Associates is a private psychiatric and counseling practice serving Frederick County, Maryland and the surrounding areas. We have been proudly serving our community since 2010. Since our opening we have had one goal in mind, and that goal has never changed:

The providers at Dagenhart and Associates offer a wide range of specialty areas including depression, anxiety, divorce recovery, self-esteem, adolescent issues (i.e. school performance, anger management), relationship and couples counseling, sexual dysfunctions, crisis intervention, & medication management.
We offer a variety of individual, couples, and family services.
We also run various groups, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for adolscents and adults.

Most appointments can be offered within 5 - 10 business days.
Evening appointments are available 3 - 4 nights per week. Please speak with our front desk regarding evening availability. Not all providers have evening availability.
Initial Consultations/Evaluations: 60 - 90 minutes
Medication Follow Ups: 20 - 45 minutes
Individual/Family: 45 - 60 minutes
Marriage/Couples/Relationships: 60-90 minutes
Groups: 60 minutes (groups often run weekly for a specific period of time)

It is recommended to show up 15 minutes prior to your initial appointment to complete all administrative responsibilities so you can maximize your time with our providers.
Mindful Movement Therapy and Yoga
Mindful Movement therapy is ideal for any one looking to feel balanced in mind and body. Licensed therapist and yoga instructor, Sierra Carlson, LCSW-C, uses yoga, breathing exercises, meditation, guided relaxation, and talk-therapy to work through emotions stored in the body. Mindful movement can help individuals struggling with a variety of mental health imbalances, such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Identity and Self-Esteem conflicts, etc. Absolutely no experience with yoga is required. Ms. Carlson offers a safe environment to reconnect with your body, rebuild confidence, and find your inner peace.
